Notary Commission Expires: What To Do With Your Notary Seal

Your notary commission has expired. You now have a seal with all of your information on it. What do you do with it? Let us show you. First things first, removing the rubber pad from your stamp. To expose the rubber pad, hold the bottom of your stamp in. Careful to avoid the inked center of the rubber pad, grab one corner and start to separate it from the base of the stamp. Once you have removed the rubber base grab your scissors. You never want any of your information to be legible when you dispose of your official seal, so do not simply dispose of it. When you remove the rubber pad from your stamp, cut along your commission number lengthwise to divide the numbers in half and then cut it horizontally or simply cut the rubber into at least three pieces. insert To add a new rubber pad to the base of your stamp, simply peel the adhesive backing off of the rubber base and attached it to the exposed base of the stamp. Be sure you have aligned it properly, or you’ll have crooked impressions.
